Ler LaLonde is one of if not the most underrated guitarists of all time (although he doesn't think much of his own playing), seriously, that dude can rip, I think he's overshadowed by Les a bit (Les is amazing too), but seriously, Ler is awesome.

back in the early 90's Larry used to shred on his guitar, the albums actually don't do him justice.
I don't think he plays it like he used to, it seems the interest level dropped since then but the memories......ahh

i think ler is great. although, i prefer when he uses the fender strat as opposed to the prs. dont get me me wrong, prs is a fucking badass guitar, but when ler picks up a strat some amazing, jaw dropping sounds come out of that thing

Ler doesn't use effects to compliment, and suit the mood of, the song; he's doing it to hide his sloppy technical skills.

I don't know much about playing guitar, but it seems that Ler is pretty fucking creative. And it's not always about just busting out difficult chops. It's also about the machine as a whole. I certainly wouldn't classify him as a conventional player (because Primus is not a conventional band, obviously). And any unconventional player that puts out the level of creativity that Primus does deserves a lot of respect in my book.

Everyone knows Les is much better off without Primus.
The worst of his side projects are better than the best of Primus.
Primus has made a name for itself and can still make money.

anyway, ler's guitar compliments les's bass so much and adds so much to the song. i do not know many other guitarists that can do that (that can do it well) except perhaps todd huth

i think ler could make primus sound a lot better, albeit a lot different, if he perked up and played good. He can do it, he was trained by Satch, so he should be good for something. Some solos also show he's great, and is just being lazy.

Still, I think the bullboard, minus a few people, think too high of ler's playing: sure it fits the mood, but it isn't really that amazing.

No doubt Ler is a above average guitar player, He is No Van Halen but Eddie is so one dimensional anyways, I dont think Ler knows how good he could be..BTW this is my 1st post and having to register sucks Ass!But I still love Primus and what they stand for.
